Principal's Message
Dear colleagues, parents, students and well-wishers, Welcome to the 2023 school year!
“Teachers should build classroom climates where errors are welcome, student engagement is the norm, questioning is high and students gain reputations as effective learners.”
Our commitment is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century. We focus on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the magic lying dormant inside all of our students. In today’s dynamic world, 360 degree development and grooming is of supreme importance and through our campus we are creating an environment for future leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who possess skills and aptitudes in an array of functional disciplines.
High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school.
It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of our students. It is the contribution of our students to our school community that makes Maharishi Meinhien School an exceptional learning community Full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act responsibly as an individual within our educational environment are the factors that enable all to have a successful and enjoyable year.
I am an avid supporter of effective and innovative professional development that encourages teachers and to be reflective and to continuously examine our practice to provide quality teaching and learning for each student. My role as Principal is to keep up with latest trends and research and be an active partner in the school’s professional development. The ability to be innovative and creative is important to me. I enjoy being challenged and inspired by the people around me. I aim to enthuse and challenge staff and students to also be inventive and imaginative in their learning and day to day tasks.
Important areas like the Emotional and the Spiritual well being that were taken care of at home, have now come under the direct purview of the school besides the usual traditional ones. The focus is turned towards values education, soft skills development, leadership training, the art of self governance, crisis management and so on.
Classroom management too is seeing a revolution of sorts with pedagogical support from IT and allied media.
Consideration of the Multiple Intelligences is a key factor in effective teaching-learning practices in scholastic and co-scholastic areas today.
All of this is made possible by strong partnerships that are developed with our parents. I hope that our website will assist in this endeavor. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
